#CleanAndPlanetPositive Beauty Picks @Sephora!
In 2021, Sephora launched the #CleanAndPlanetPositiveBeauty platform, aiming to evolve Clean at Sephora to incorporate sustainability. I teamed up with Sephora to share my picks from @biossance, @claudie, and @alpynbeauty ! Read below and check out my Instagram content to learn about what these brands are doing to contribute to our 🌎
Alplyn Beauty Melt Moisturizer with Bakuchiol and Squalane
This moisturizer leaves a velvety finish on the skin with aloe and squalane for hydration, bakuchiol to target fine lines, and vitamin C to boost radiance. It works SO WELL under makeup too!
At Alphyn Beauty, a portion of all sales goes to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation and in part due to their contribution - 900 acres of native sagebrush grassland have been restored! They are also very intentional about packaging. Their cartons are made of 100% recycled paper content and they use recyclable glass, FSC-certified paper, and vegetable-based inks!
Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Instant Firming Serum
I love this oil-free serum that contains Caudalie’s patented blend of a clean and non-irritating retinol alternative. A perfect anti-aging solution for all skin types but ESPECIALLY dry or sensitive skin!
Since 2012 - Caudalie has been a member of the ""1% for the Planet"" network and contributes 1% of its worldwide turnover to organizations working to protect the environment. Caudalie also had a goal of planting 8Million trees by 2021, and has planted 9 million to date!
Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Firming & Lifting Eye Cream
I can’t believe how luxurious the texture of this eye cream is. It uses squalane hydrate and marine algae peptides to minimize the appearance of fine line under the eyes. It keeps my eye area youthful-looking and smooth!
Did you know that for years, beauty products were fortified with ‘squalene’ (a substance that provided lot’s of moisture to human skin) —but at the cost of millions of sharks, which were slaughtered for their squalene-rich liver? So, the Biossance scientists engineered an alternative called ‘squalane’, a hydrator made from sustainable sugarcane that’s purer, more ethical, and vegan than ‘squalene’ ! This saves more than 2 MILLION sharks a year!
